A quick and easy chocolate fondue

Indulgent, rich & creamy, this chocolate fondue will have you and your guests "ahhhhhhhh"ing for ages!

Chocolate Fondue Recipe Ingredients

150g (or approx 5 oz) chocolate, roughly chopped
1+ 1/2 cups cocoa powder, sifted
1+ 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
1+ 1/4 cups of water
1 cup heavy/ thickened cream
1/4 cup corn syrup
fresh figs, cut in half
fresh strawberries
cubes of banana
marshmellows
cake, cut into cubes

Chocolate Fondue Recipe Directions

Into a large pot, combine water, sugar and corn syrup.
Bring to the boil.
Reduce heat slightly and simmer for 10 - 15 minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved and mixture has reduced by about one third.
Add the sifted cocoa powder to the mixture.
Whisk until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy.
Continue whisking while adding the cream.
Turn up the heat slightly so that the chocolate mixture almost boils, but not quite.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove the pot from the heat source.
Stir in the roughly chopped chocolate.
Stir until all chocolate has melted and combined with mixture.
Pour chocolate fondue into a fondue pot, and set over a fondue burner.
Enjoy with pieces of fruit, marsh mellows, or cubes of cake.
